British Airways reminds travellers about insurance

February 22nd, 2012

Brits choosing Thailand holidays this year should remember one thing is absolutely vital before stepping on a plane – travel insurance.

This is the advice from British Airways, which offers direct flights to Bangkok from London.

"It is really important to take travel insurance, especially for any situation that might occur where something gets stolen or a medical emergency," explains Abigail Comber, head of marketing at the airline.

And because travel insurance policies can change, it is essential to go through it carefully before flying.

"Always make sure you take it and thoroughly read the policy before you go," says Ms Comber.

She offers one more piece of advice to travellers – make the most of the baggage allowance to ensure you have everything you need to have a fabulous holiday.

British Airways flights to Bangkok land at Suvarnabhumi Airport, 18 miles east of the city centre, which is about a 40-minute taxi journey away.
