Begin your Borneo wildlife experience by visiting the fascinating Bako National Park, 35 km from Kuching and home to proboscis monkeys, flying squirrels and many species of bird. The surroundings are stunning and you have time to follow the trails, take pictures and observe nature.
 
The following morning there's a visit to Semengok Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre which is considered to be the best place to see semi wild orang utan, who roam the forest and often return to the centre for feeding time.

Travelling to Batang Ai you'll pass quaint villages, emerald green rice terraces and virgin jungle before reaching your lakeside accommodation. You'll visit a traditional longhouse and learn a little about the native culture which includes a demonstration of the famous blow pipe.
