Days 1 - Saigon & Mekong Delta
On arrival in Saigon, transfer to your hotel, in time for welcome drinks with the small group of new friends who will share this incredible journey. The following day, travel out of the city to the amazing Cu Chi tunnels which were established as a means of waging guerilla warfare against the French and later the Americans. Spend a few hours exploring the various levels and exhibits, before returning to the city to visit the sights including Dong Khoi Street, the Notre Dame Cathedral and War Remnants Museum.
On the third day head out into the Mekong Delta, known as the rice bowl of Vietnam where you will spend a night on a small boat. Relax as you meander along the canals and visit family run farms and experience the floating market. Return to Saigon the next day for one more night.

Day 5 - Da Lat
A short flight brings you to the former French hill station of Dalat, a fascinating town of winding streets, colourful markets and abandoned French villas. Visit a Zen Monastery and the former railway station before taking an open-air train ride to Trat Mat hamlet. Explore Dalat market and enjoy free time in the afternoon.

Days 6 - Hoi An
Fly to Danang and transfer to the UNESCO heritage town of Hoi An. The architecture of the town reflects a number of influences over the centuries from European to Asian. Take a walking tour of this charming town and visit an old merchant house, Chinese assembly hall, and the iconic Japanese Bridge. Enjoy the next day at leisure where you may like to explore the town further, or perhaps head to one of the popular beaches just a short drive away.

Day 8 - Hue
A morning free allows time for shopping or to relax, before driving along the spectacular coastal scenery of the Hai Van pass on your way to Hue.
The next day explore this laid-back city, visiting historic sites such as the Citadel and elaborate emperors' tombs which reveal a complex and intriguing past. Later visit the SPIRAL foundation to meet the deaf and mute workers who will assist you in making a souvenir.

Days 10 - Halong Bay & Hanoi
This morning fly north to the capital Hanoi. Take a walking tour around the atmospheric streets for a visit to the market and speciality food stores to try some local dishes. The next day enjoy the picturesque drive to Halong Bay for an overnight cruise. Sail amongst the thousands of magical islands that rise abrupty from the sea, enjoying delicious food onboard. Return to Hanoi the next day for an evening at leisure.
The following day, explore the bustling streets of the Old Quarter on foot where peddlers have plied their trade for centuries. Later, visit many of the popular attractions including the ancient Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda and the notorious 'Hanoi Hilton' prison. This evening enjoy a farewell group dinner to recount the highlights over the past ten days.
