The best of Cambodia and Vietnam, with many magical highlights on the way. Begin in Cambodia, where Angkor Wat is sure to captivate you, and continue to Vietnam to experience her most important highlights from south to north finishing up in the beautiful coastal scenery of Halong Bay.
Day 1 - Phnom Penh
On arrival in Phnom Penh, transfer to your hotel. Get to know your travelling companions and tour leader at welcome drinks and a tour briefing on the evening you arrive.
The next day explore the city with a fun cyclo ride through the backstreets including a visit to the Central Market. Change transport modes to your private bus to embark on a thought provoking tour on the Khmer Rouge leagacy at Toul sleng Genocide Museum, followed by 'the Killing Fields' of Choeng Ek. After lunch, explore the Royal Palace with its famous Silver Pagoda containing 5,000+ silver floor tiles as well as the revered Emerald Buddha. End the day with a stroll along the riverfront watching locals doing aerobics amd playing hackysack, before enjoying a sunset drink on the terrace of the Foreign Correspondents Club.

Day 3 - Siem Reap
A short flight brings you to Siem Reap, gateway to the incredible temples of Angkor. Travel to Tonle Sap, one of Asia's largest fresh water lakes for a boat ride to see floating houses, schools and local shops. Head back to Siem Reap for an afternoon at lesiure - maybe go and explore the old market or simply relax at your hotel.
Wake up early the next day and and enter the little-used eastern gate of Angkor Wat to watch sunrise on the magnificent temple - an experience you will never forget. A tuk-tuk ride proves an entertaining way to travel between temples, ideal for taking photos. Later at Angkor Thom, the magnificent stone heads of the Bayon will amaze along with the evocative bas-reliefs at the Terrace of the Leper King and Elephant Terrace. Return to your hotel to relax and escape the heat of midday, before driving to the unique pink sandstone structure that is Banteay Srei. Continue to the atmospheric ruins of Ta Prohm which is eveloped in the roots of Banyan Trees giving it a mystical feel. This evening enjoy a group dinner where you can recount your favourite memories of the trip.

Day 5 - Saigon & Mekong
A flight to Saigon begins the Vietnamese chapter of your tour. Tonight meet your new group of travellers for a tour briefing.
Over the next two days, embark on a number of tours to explore the city and region. There will be half a day spent at the Cu Chi tunnels where you will learn about the 155 mile network of tunnels used to wage guerilla warfafe against the French and later the Americans. A city tour will take in the War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office and Dong Khoi Street, whilst a full day out to the Mekong Delta will give you a glimpse into the lives of local people. Glide across the canals of the lush Mekong Delta, stopping at shaded orchards and family homes to observe local industry.

Day 8 - Hue & Hoi An
Fly north to Hue, and discover the historic sites of this antique city, including the Citadel and Imperial Palace, once the home to Nguyen Dynasty. Then visit the tranquil Thien Mu Pagoda located on the banks of the Perfume River and Hue's oldest and most beautiful religious monument. There will also be a visit to the Spiral Foundation whose disabled workers make hamdicrafts which are then sold to raise funds for charitable causes.
The next day a spectacular drive along the coastal scenery of the Hai Van Pass brings you to Hoi An. The heritage listed old quarter reflects influences from Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, French and Bristish traders. On a walking tour visit the old merchant house, Chinese assembly hall and Japanese covered bridge. The next day is free to explore this charming town or maybe head to the nearby beaches.

Day 11 - Halong Bay & Hanoi
Fly to Haiphong and then enjoy the scenic drive to Halong Bay for an overnight cruise. Considered Vietnam's greatest natural wonder, enjoy sailing in a junk boat style vessel amongst the limestone islands that rise abrupty out of the bay.
The next day enjoy the scenery as you sail back to port to be driven to Hanoi, Vietnams's capital city. Take a walking tour of the back streets to visit the market and try some of the delicious local food such as Che and Bahn Tom. A further day of exploration awaits with a walking tour through the bustling Old Quarter where peddlers continue to trade as they have done so for centuries. Later visit the Temple of Literature which dates back to 1070, the infamous Hanoi Hilton Prison and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Enjoy a farewell dinner this evening with your group.
