Day 1 - Saigon
You will be met on arrival in Saigon to begin your holiday with a fabulous three night stay at the five star Intercontinental Asiana Hotel located in the heart of this bustling city.
You have three days here to take in all the wonderful sights that Saigon has to offer. You might like to immerse yourself in the countries history with visits to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum or you could learn how to catch fish Vietnamese style with a relaxing trip on the picturesque Mekong River.
Day 4 - Hue
Take a short flight today to the historic former capital of Hue. Your two night stay here will be at the Pilgrimage Village, a beautiful hotel set amidst the lush green countryside ten minutes outside the centre of Hue.
You can spend your days here sightseeing in the town or you can simply relax around the Pilgrimage Village's delightful pool. Don't miss a cruise on the Perfume River or perhaps a bicycle tour of Hue. You can even learn a little Vietnamese cookery during your stay so you can impress friends and family back home!
Day 6 - Danang
This morning travel over the spectacular Hai Van Pass to Danang where you will find one of Asia's most spectacular beaches. You will have a four night stay here in Danang at the Luxurious Pullman Beach Resort which sits in over four hectares of grounds right on the beach front of Bac My An Beach. This is a great opportunity for a little rest and relaxation.
Mix your time between sightseeing and relaxation as the beach here is famous for its enormous stretch of golden sand and calm emerald sea. Make trips to the nearby Marble Mountains or the UNESCO World Heritage town of Hoi An. No cars are allowed to pass through Hoi An, making it an excellent place to wander around and soak up the riverside ambience.
Day 10 - Hanoi
Head to Danang Airport today for a short flight to Hanoi where you will be met again and transferred to one of the cities top hotels, the Pan Pacific.
Spend a couple of days here walking the tree lined streets and enjoying the cafe culture bought to Vietnam by the French. Take a wander through the fascinating old town where you will find streets named after the particular items you will find there, look out for Sugar Street, Paper Street and Tin Street to name but a few
Day 12 - Halong Bay
Enjoy breakfast before heading off on the journey to Halong Bay where you will spend the night on a traditional Chinese Junk. During your cruise you will be able to see the huge limestone rocks which rise up out of the water and give the bay such an unusual appearance. You'll have time to swim, snorkel or kayak in the tranquil waters before heading back to the boat for sunset and dinner.
Day 13 - Halong Bay and
Wake up early to see the sun rise and listen to the sounds of the waves gently lapping. The area is quite mystical in the early mornings as the rocks are often topped by mist, and the early start is well worth it. There will be time for swimming or kayaking this morning before brunch and your return to Halong City where you disembark and travel back to Hanoi and overnight at the Pan Pacific.
Day 14 - Farewell
Travel back to the airport for your journey back to the UK by scheduled airline.
