Days 1 - Vientiane
On arrival in Vientiane, transfer to your hotel. Tonight meet your fellow travellers and tour leader for welcome drinks.

Day 2 - Vietiane
The country's charming capital is full of alluring monuments with a laid-back riverside ambience. Taste traditional Lao coffee at a local shop before exploring the city's most famous landmarks such as Wat Pha That Luang and Wat Sisaket. In the afternoon, visit the villa of Carol Cassidy who worked to promote traditional Lao textiles and watch artisans go about their trade, followed by a visit to the COPE Centre and learn about their role in helping victims of the war. In the late afternoon receive a unique welcome in a traditional Lao Baci ceremony in a local home.

Days 3 - Luang Prabang 
A short flight brings you to the fabled riverside town of Luang Prabang. Take a walking tour of beautiful Wat Mai and Royal Palace, before participating in a bamboo weaving demonstration. Play a hands on role in making your own delicious dinner in a delightful pavilion overlooking rice paddies.

Day 4 - Luang Prabang  & Pak Ou Caves
Savour a traditional Lao breakfast at an eatery frequented by your guide. Explore the city's famous sites on foot, including Xieng Thong, the tip of the peninsular and the Royal Palace jetty. A lovely boat trip to Pak Ou Caves unveils innumerable Buddha sculptures spanning many centuries. After a picnic lunch head back to Luang Prabang for the rest of the day at leisure. Perhaps climb the stairs of Phou Si hill for wonderful sunset views and browse the night market.

Day 5 - Luang Prabang
Rise early to witness the fascinating ancient ritual of local monks collecting alms at dawn and then a visit to a morning market. Enjoy free time to explore and soak up the town's relaxed atmosphere, before a visit to the beautiful Kuang Si Falls in the countryside where you can swim in the turquise pools. Finish the evening with a farewell dinner with your guide and group.

Day 6 - Farewell
This morning is at leisure until your departure transfer.
